spinal physiotherapy/headaches

If back and/or neck pain is something that at one time or another you have suffered from you will understand how the pain and associated dysfuction can impact on all facets of your daily life. In more recent times the treatment of these conditions has slightly changed and all of our physiotherapists are highly skilled in treating these issues. Commonly treated conditions include:

  • Occupational injury
  • Chronic or recurrent spinal pain
  • Postural spinal pain
  • Acute sport/physical activity injury

We still utilise a strong hands on approach with treatments including soft tissue massage, trigger point therapy, joint mobilisation and dry needling. Just as importantly thorough postural and biomechanical assessment allows our therapists to provide a comprehensive home exercise programme of stretching, activation and strengthening exercise as well as to provide ergonomic advice for work and personal life.

Cervicogenic headaches are those that are related to cervical spine or neck pain. These can be diagnosed with a thorough assessment consultation and there are specific treatments in which all our physiotherapists are trained in order to help alleviate these. If you feel like your headaches are often preceded by neck pain or even if you just suffer from migraines where the cause is yet to be determined come in and see one of our physios to help manage that nagging pain.
